I am assigned with the Project entitled “Action Item Tracking System”. The term ‘Action Item’ is used for any work assigned to an employee and has to be completed by the specified target date. This system will store the details of all the action items and meetings on the centralized, electronic repository. The deadlines of the Action items will be monitored and tracked quickly through Email notifications.
Action Items are no longer lost and system will send the reminders to the action item assignee before the specified days of the target date. All the employees will also be getting the meeting reminders. The Action Items can be generated from the meetings, projects or other sources and are assigned to the assignee through email. An automated email is sent to the action item assignee as a reminder or an escalation in case of deadline cross
Presently the Employees have to Log their Action Items manually into an .xls files and sometimes they even missed out some of their Action Items. Also they need to keep the Reminders for the meetings they have to attend and hence have to waste lots of time in doing all these manual activities.
This system will help the employees to get rid of all these manual activities and can perform better for the action items assigned to them or can even plan for the meetings they have to attend. Also the higher management can view the customized reports based on the Action items to evaluate the performance of the employee.
