Smart News Reader

A newspaper is a scheduled publication containing news of current events, informative articles, diverse features, editorials, and advertising. With the growing demand and the need to know the current issues and affairs of the outside world, NEWS has become an integral part of every human being on the world. General-interest newspapers typically publish stories on local and national political events and personalities, politics, business, entertainment, society and sports. Most traditional papers also feature an editorial page containing editorials written by an editor and columns that express the personal opinions of writers.

Today people are not able to spend time reading the whole newspapers and they are more of interested in knowing the headlines and important topics. As they spend most of the time on internet this web application will gather their interested news on their browser.

The application such as this  “Smart News Reader” is able gather all the news that is relevant to the particular user’s interested category. The application is built in such a way that the user just has to input or mark the type of news he is interested in and the Reader will automatically gather specified topics from several marked channels and list them all together for the user to have updated and latest news whenever he makes login.

  Purpose
It is a well known fact that APIs have been used to create dynamic and structural programming constructs and hence it is extensively used in all form of software development. The main purpose of APIs are to work as an essential tools for high quality system architectures, and the concept of APIs can be applied for numerous advantages. "An API is a machine-to-machine interface rather than a user interface. It allows developers to access the functionality of other software modules through well-defined data structures".
APIs make it easy to efficiently share data and processes. So we obtain data through API in JSON format and parse it into java script. API CALL benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically. A standardized JSON file format allows the information to be published once and viewed by many different programs. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favourite websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place.
The user will be able to access the news according to his interest viz. if the user wishes to see all the news related to sports then by clicking the requested topic, he should be able to access the same. This can be achieved by grouping similar news from different channels.
Application will be able to maintain individual profiles which will enable the user to maintain the record of his interest and the profile will be accessible to the user in such a way that he will be able to make several changes, the news channel that he wants to subscribe for and maintain regularly.
Another facility i.e. blogging can be added later on and can be kept for future scope. Present application will be used by news lovers who are not able take out time in routine to read newspapers regularly and seek help of this kind of application to stay up-to date with the current affairs and daily world updates.
Thus the main purpose of the project is to provide easy way for users to access the world news from any remote locations.

Digitize Collaboration System

Our udp is about Collaboration System. In the past, a business communication system usually meant a key telephone system or a private branch exchange (PBX). Either system allowed businesses to connect phones with the public phone network using a limited number of lines.
While some companies still use key and PBX systems, many are migrating to a more advanced, cost-effective business communication system with voice, video, data, web conferencing, wireless, and other applications running on a single Internet Protocol (IP) network.
With a sophisticated business communication system, a company can realize many important business benefits.
As per the GTU IDP we concern with the company’s owner. We asked them about the problems they are facing in his company. We also told them to suggest those problems that we MCA students can solve for them.  So they discussed with us so many software /Website related issues/problems that they are facing in everyday life and suggested us to make a project based on that problem. They also suggested us to visit some websites which is related with that problem. So we visited few websites during 4th SEM summer vacation under “shodh-yatra” and find about some software related innovative ideas. At 23th June, 2011 we finally met company’s owner and share our experience what we refer in those days. The company’s owner Mr. Abhishek Pathakh suggested us the project related to real IT problem which is very helpful to the people of our country as well as whole world’s people.

Digitize Collaboration system application is to provide collaboration among organizations. In, this Employees can create own account, profile and create a work circle .Employees across company can collaborate with one another easily and safely without time or space confines. By logging into company secure online site collaboration software, business person can invite managers, employees, vendors and customers and collaborate effectively.

We define a “collaborative application” as a system that supports the interaction among a number of people to achieve a single goal or set of goals. Collaborative applications may be synchronous (real-time interactive) or asynchronous (off-line). They may be designed for cooperative or competitive groups of users; they may be designed around replicated or distributed architectures. The central defining feature of these applications is that they are multi-user and support the process of collaboration among their participants.The project would help in effective and systematic record keeping that is storing and retrieving of employee’s current activity. Within, the time duration it will take a screenshot of module on which employee work. Project will be able to give the report so that management can make decisions on the basis of those reports.

We first started working on this project. We got pretty far and had most of the features that needed to create our application. Then we made analysis of key features and requirements to make sure the project could be used for more than just a collaboration site.

·        Consolidate and allocate spending through centralized a database for warehouses and manufacturing units with multi-site locations. The software is a fully integrated ERP that is designed from the onset to be seamless to enhance communications

SHOP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The system  creates a  desktop  basemanufacturing system  that  enables a  manufacturing industry to schedule its manufacturing operations based on the daily update of sales from its dealers.


Once the rates are quoted, the order will be placed with the required delivery schedules. Once the parts  the parts are supplied the stocks will be updated. Then a production plan will be drawn  up  taking  the  bill  of  materials  into  consideration.  Once  the  production  plan  is approved, the stock will be updated when the material is issued. Once the finished products are available the delivery schedules  will be drawn up based on the orders placed by the Dealers. The stocks with the dealers will also be maintained.

 In past scenario admin master, manage the record manually like books, dairy but we can proposed this project is to admin or user is easily manage the all transaction. Also admin see the stock of all produccategories and  all product and  get the more and more satisfaction to customer. Also the customer dont know stock and detail of any product before go to shop but our proposed system provide this  facility to customer by web application.

“ Security through Webcam “

Our Project defination is “Security Through Webcam”, which will provide a way to monitor the entire acitvity of employees in an organization  while roaming in and around the organization through the webcam where we can capture the snapshots of an employee periodically and forward it to the higher authority.

Software will provide a facility to change the authenticated mobile number and also the change duration between two snapshot so that authenticated person can reduce or increase sensitivity of software. The software can  store the compressed snapshots, so any time can show snapshot.

Our project defination is for security through the webcam from which we can capture the snapshot from the software automatically.
The project will takes a snapshot from webcam and send it to authorized person’s email-id. So that he can monitor work done by employees. He or she can also capture the snapshot from the webcam.
The Software will also give a facility to change this authenticated mobile number so that in some situation, if required we can change authenticated person’s mobile no. like if person resign and new person joins at his place in company.
The Software will also provide a facility to send snapshots to more than one people if required so that more then one persons can examine the work simultenously if required.
The Software  will also  store webcam snapshot on pc so that if manager or authenticated person Is busy, in future he can see what was done in office in his absence.

ROOT CONFIGURATION ON TRAVEL PORTAL

Root Configuration System on Travel Portal (Travel Solution) is developed to be used by Bus Travel Agencies and not by end-users.
Tours and Travels companies, for e.g. Neeta travels, Mahasagar Tours and Travels. Use this project for maintaining their bus trip schedules for daily basis or for some days of week between different cities they serve. The operators reserve tickets for customers through this system.

This system consist of mainly four Type of users which are,
 Super Admin,
Company Admin,
Agents & Branch

Super Admin have all the rights to maintain the whole functionality of this system, They have rights to Create, Modify or Delete The Travels companies also they can add different States, City whether they provide services. Super Admin have the highest rights.

After creation of companies Company have their own login names and passwords, these companies can create their branch in a particular cities. A Company can open any No. of branches in a particular city, they can also create agents for the Company.

Branches can login into this system and book the ticket for Customers by the interacting with customer.

Agents are the users who book tickets of customers& interact with customers. An agents can book ticket for more than one company.

 The main purposes of our travel system are listed below:
Ø  This project can be used by any Travel Agency & Operator.

Ø  For reserving tickets for customers by any Agent that is registered by Travel Agency.

Ø  For maintaining and updating bus schedules by travel agency.

Ø  For providing various kinds of information to customers like seat arrangement, fares of various trips, timings etc. thought the Agents or Operators.
This application will manage company’s Travels, route, agent management for individual company. This system will help to see bus availability of different companies if they configured with it. End-user (booking agent) can book tickets for the customer. Also many objectives are described beloved.
Ø           Travel Company can easily maintain their Bus trips (Route) at central Places to that this system.

Ø           This system maintain Time-Table of Bus trips, Fares and Arrival/Departure time.
